I lived here for two whole years, my junior and senior years at BU, which in college time is really kind of astounding. My apartment – shared with a rotating group of four others - was on the ground floor in that upper right, shaded corner. Oh, the stories those marijuana-scented, old-fashioned walls could tell.
this might sound weird, but .. i have too much to say about this picture. i can't even explain.
ReplyDeletei'm not crazy, swearz.
wow! that's the most mysterious comment i've ever received...
ReplyDeleteelaborate??
i don't even know. it's just one of those pictures that speaks to you, know what i mean?
ReplyDeletethe building alone is gorgeous - i love architecture & history. the way you described it, made the place come alive for me. i was too chicken shit to go away and live at school & i kind of regret it. i always wanted those college dorm/apartment stories, random nights, the camaraderie. maybe i AM crazy?
i just realized i haven't really lived ..yet & i don't have the time (or money) to go back and do it. not a sad thing though, i gotz a good life.
there's more, but it doesn't come out right. it's more ..feelings, than something explainable.
no, i totally understand - and thanks for explaining !
ReplyDeletethere are just these images/stories/places that somehow, semi-magic, make us all veclemped.
and you'll totally have your time to go out and do your thang, which you know. it's like me going OOF that i didn't study abroad because I was in such a rush to graduate; now I just tell myself we'll find a way to make that happen even without college as a backer.
if it makes you feel any better, that big shrubbery you can see in the middle had a LOT of dead rats under it. a LOT.
