I'm not one for poetry, really

But I think of this one - a poem I read my sophomore year "abroad" at James Madison U - and smile each time I go grocery shopping.

This Is Just To Say

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold
