My Aunt's chorus in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Voices from the Heart, recorded this Kenyan folk song for Obama to send him good thoughts and good wishes for the challenges ahead. I especially love how they fit his name into the extra five syllables.
This type of spirit just wasn't there for...other Presidents.

(I feel like Sarah Palin) We learned this song in about an hour on Monday night and weren't told until the end of the rehearsal, when the local paper showed up, that the goal was to send it to our new president. It was so awesome to feel so connected to the huge event that was about to take place on Tues. Hope we go viral on youtube!
ReplyDeletepretty voices! though all the songs to barack obama tend to creep me out (especially children singing in honor of him - children who didn't even understand who he was or what he was about) but honestly, this is a very peaceful & pleasant song!
